American Telesis
American Telesis is a provider of Private Lines, Dedicated Internet, Frame Relay and Specialized Voice circuits including Automatic Ring Downs and Hoot’n’Holler networks. Our company has been in business since 1992, maintaining solid growth and profitability for all quarters since inception. The American Telesis network spans the United States and Canada.
The company was formed because we perceived a need for a carrier whose service was to provide specialty Private Lines at a discount off MCI, Sprint and AT&T while offering superior personalized service and support. Focusing only on Private Lines, we have structured our organization to include a group of telecom-savvy individuals that are highly trained private-line-only technicians. The key objective for these technicians is not to be "order-takers" but have the telecom knowledge to guide their customers through the entire process. This includes coordinating the installation as well as interfacing and accepting responsibility for monitoring the equipment vendor’s progress to ensure the circuit is ready for immediate use. Furthermore, we recognized the need to play a larger role in the installation process for our clients; therefore, all customers are assigned an IT Project Management team during circuit migrations to help avoid unnecessary duplicate billing and downtime.
In order to achieve our objectives we built a nationwide T-3 and T-1 fiber network, daxed together at four points and monitored at a Network Maintenance Center. Our next priority was to focus on customer retention. "Our growth and success did not evolve due to aggressive marketing. Growth can best be achieved when there is a corporate awareness that retention of the customer base is foremost."
