  Access Point was founded in 1996 in Cary, N.C. It is a privately-held Competitive Local Exchange Carrier offering integrated communications services. Since the Telecom Deregulation Act of 1996, companies
other than the Regional Bell Operating Companies were authorized to sell local telephone lines. These companies are known as CLECs, and Access Point has pioneered creative telecommunications in the industry since that time. Since inception, Access Point has positioned itself to be an alternative for
businesses that want superior, personalized attention and responsive customer service, along with competitive market pricing.
